Alex sort of dreaded today, well for one her right arm was bruised and second, she was getting her flu shot today.

She hates needles. Looking at them, seeing them being injected on somebody, and used on blood tests (which she had to experience three times) She held her breath and got the shot, it was quick but it didn’t change her disdain with needles.

Few minutes later she saw Nate, her team mate he was on his way to get his shot as well he turned to her and asked “You got your shot already?”

Alex nodded “Yeah, it’s fast but I still hate needles.”

Nate laughed and pointed out the heating patch on Alex’s arm “Why did they give you the shot there?”

Alex looked down at her patch “Oh no. I have a bruise there, that’s why I have that.”

Nate nodded and proceeded to go to the clinic and get his shot.

Alex went back to her station and started setting her stuff up for work, when two of her team mates went by to chat.

“What’s that on your arm?” One of her team mates asked

“Guess who was dumb enough to get her arm banged on the emergency case” Alex said. Her team mates laughed.

“Yeah, yeah.” Alex said

“Maybe you were thinking about someone.” Her team mate said

“Pfft. Who?” Alex said

“I don’t know, maybe Nate?” Her team mate said

Like clockwork, Nate passed why and heard his name being called

“Yeah? What is it?” He asked

Alex laughed and looked at him briefly before turning her back to him, her face turning into a mini tomato.

“We were just talking about you.” Her team mate replied to Nate

“Oh. Okay.” Nate laughed and scratched his head, walking back to his work station.

“You look like a tomato” Alex’s team mate said

“Shut up.” Alex laughed

He still has that effect on her, it’s annoying but it makes her happy in some way.

“Stupid smile” Alex mumbled.

Alex sat in front of her TV sniffing wildly she always had a soft spot for something and this time it was the movie that she is watching, who knew that Disney’s Lemonade Mouth can strike a chord in her heart?

Each kid in the movie has a certain parent problem and in the end, it gets resolved. Parents have been a touchy subject for Alex, growing up it was never the same. There is this big void in her heart that keeps growing.

“I wish I had that.” She whispered

Now only if it will ever come true.

Alex sat on the seat next to Nate laughing her head off, echoes of her laugh being heard throughout the office.

“What?!” Nate asked

“Nothing” Alex continued laughing. “Okay, random fact. I wanna get a tattoo but I’m deathly afraid of needles.”

Now it was Nate’s turn to laugh at Alex.

“Laugh all you want but it’s true” Alex said “My bestfriend and I can’t get matching tattoos because of that.”

“You won’t do it even for her?” He asked

“Well, if there’s anesthesia involved I’ll do it.” She said

“There’s no anesthesia for tattoos!” Nate said laughing more

“Sucks for me. I can’t get a tattoo” Alex said smiling

“I’ve been thinking about getting one but I kinda dropped the idea, because tattoos are forever and I think about what I’ll look like when I’m old.” He said “We’ll be like wrinkly and saggy.”

“Do you know Randy Orton?” She asked. Nate nodded.

“Imagine, he has sleeve tattoos..” Alex trailed off motioning from her shoulders to her wrists “Can you see him old and wrinkly?”

Nate made a face, Alex laughed it off and so did he. They enjoyed each other’s company, she was content with what she has now.

“Although, I get henna once in a while.” Nate said.

Alex liked hearing his accent, like now when he said the word “henna”

“Once I got a henna tattoo in a Star Wars convention.” Alex said

“Star Wars convention?” Nate butted in laughing a little

“What? I’m a girl and I like Star Wars” She said

“I like Star Wars too.” He said

“Okay. I had this henna, and my skin got infected so I had a rash as big as the henna!” Alex exclaimed

“That happened to my cousin once.” Nate said

The two were not exactly close but they do talk when they have time, and their stations are far away from each other so that rarely happens.

Nate was about to say something when the phone on his station rang, Alex just nodded and he proceeded to answer the call.

She was thankful that he’s giving her the time of day.

Spinal Happiness

Rae walked fast towards those familiar green and white neon lights inside the mall, that means she is going to her favorite place in the world; a small thrift bookstore which she always loved going to.

She started reading at a young age, as a kid she would always ask her mom for books and loved them.

The magazines were always the first ones she looked at, all lined up very neatly covered in plastic and placed on a big white bookshelf. Running her fingers through the tops of the magazines, she breezed through the covers looking for what she liked.

“There’s nothing good today. Weird.” Rae said while continuing to breeze through all the magazine rows then working her way to the books, the colorful spines lighting up before her eyes.

If it weren’t for these books and the countless songs in her life she would go insane, books and music were her saviors (aside from her friends) from the tough times, they easily make her feel better. Some people prefer shopping for bags, watches, shoes, and clothes but for Rae she’ll just grab book after book after book and immerse herself in them.

“There we go.” Rae smiled and reached over to grab a book with an interesting title. “Seems like a good read.” Books with interesting titles always grabbed her attention first more than famous authors.

Grabbing another book she paid for her choices with a giddy heart, making a mental note to read more.

“See you next time friend” She whispered while walking away from away from the store.

Alex tapped her pen to the beat in her head while staring lifelessly at the monitor screen in front of her.

“I wanna go home.” Alex groaned staring up at the ceiling making the headphones that is on her head fall down in the process.

She liked her work, it pays well, she has good friends within the department, the only that she doesn’t like is the shift that she is on. It is deadly. The good part is, she gets to sleep a lot. Getting tired of staring up, Alex grabbed the book that she brought to work with her and started to read.

“This job is getting really boring.” Alex mumbled while reading through the page

Upon five minutes of reading she felt herself getting dizzy, she closed the book and stared back at the flat mass of radiation that is her computer.

She whipped her head around and caught sight of someone sitting across just a few meters away from her, her team mate Nate. He is on the latter part of their shift unlike Alex, she comes in late night and he comes in early morning.

Alex looked on while Nate got his stuff ready for work.

The first time they talked was kind of awkward…

A frazzled Alex came back to her seat furiously clicking on a button to receive the file that one of the team leads sent.

“Got it! Thanks!” She hollered to the team lead

One of the team leads walked over to her station and said “You’re very welcome.” then pointed at the guy next to her “Nate, help her! You guys should be helping the new ones.” then walked away

Nate looked at Alex and said “Why didn’t you ask me or us?”

“It’s kind of a reflex that when I have to ask something, I always go to a team lead.” Alex said laughing a little

“Well next time you can ask me.” Nate smiled and turned his attention back to the monitor in front of him

That was back in her first day of doing live work. She can’t help but notice him, he’s friendly and nice, plus he’s got an accent. She’s a dead ringer for those.

The phone on her station rang interrupting her thoughts, turning her back she took one more glance at Nate and went back to work.

She can’t hide it. He is one of the reasons why she looks forward to work.

Resolutions once again

2011 is here. You know what that means…

Resolutions are made and we are trying to fulfill it each day. Our resolutions may be lose pounds before the year ends, cut off junk food and soda, be more productive and so much more. This year is the first time that I have written down a resolution for myself, the other years I didn’t feel the need to do so.

My resolution for 2011 is to read and write more. Throughout the course of 2010 I kept buying book after book after book, my hands were more active than my eyes hence the books kept piling up and gathering a little bit of dust. As for writing, just like the books ideas kept popping up in my head but when on paper they seem so off I lose confidence on continuing it. Hopefully within the year the book list will be checked and stories will be written.

It is also dubbed as the Devil’s Playground. Numerous lives and careers have been put on the line once they enter this steel lined depths of hell.

6 matches were presented on this pay-per-view, 2 of which happened inside the cell.

Match #1 Daniel Bryan vs. The Miz vs. John Morrison (Triple Threat Submissions Count Anywhere for the United States Championship)

This entertained me a little bit, three wrestlers with different styles of moves. I predicted that Daniel Bryan would have this in the bag for the fact that I have never seen John Morrison or Miz execute a submission move but I was proven wrong both Morrison and Miz have submission moves in their arsenal.

Highlights:

Brawl was taken to the audience. Miz used a rolling barricade or something to toss Daniel Bryan out to the ramp.
John Morrison using his parkour skills to kick Miz in the face
Starship Pain delivered to Miz and Daniel Bryan to break their submission holds
JOHN MORRISON JUMPING 15 FEET FROM A SET DECORATION

Despite the interference by Alex Riley (Whom Daniel Bryan shoved into a camera man) Daniel Bryan retains his title by executing a crossface to the Miz.

Match #2 Randy Orton vs. Sheamus (Hell in a Cell match for the WWE Championship)

I was surprised that this was on early. I was thinking this was gonna be the main even, but then again it could be Barrett vs. Cena or Kane vs. Taker for the main event. Random note: I was amused at how tanned Randy was and how pale Sheamus was.

Highlights:

Sheamus dominating the first part of the match (Irish whipped Orton to the cell wall then hit him with a clothesline.)
Steel steps was the main weapon. Steel chair was used as well. Sheamus got hit on the head, Randy got suplexed on it, Sheamus got scoopslammed.
Sheamus used big boot twice, Randy kicked out everytime he got pinned
RKO on the steps for the win

Despite having bruised ribs, taking on two big boots to the head, Randy became victorious against Sheamus. Both men were great competitors. Randy climbed up the top of the of the cage to make a point that the Viper is still no. 1

Match #3 Edge vs. Jack Swagger (Singles Match)

This match was made by the Anonymous Raw General Manager after Edge interrupted Alberto Del Rio then Jack Swagger interrupted them then started the brawl on Edge and Jack Swagger.

Highlights

Edge used the top rope to deliver a boot to the face on Swagger
Swagger used ankle lock but Edge holds on to the rope
Swagger then tried to do an ankle lock outside the ring but Edge pushed Swagger to the ring post
While Swagger was distracted Edge speared him to gain the win

This makes me wonder how the Raw GM will react to Edge’s win and how will his public apology will go.

Match #4 John Cena vs. Wade Barrett (Singles match with stipulation. If Barrett wins Cena must join Nexus, if Cena wins Nexus must disband. If any member of Nexus interferes the win goes automatically to Cena.)

To be honest people were paying the most attention to this match up rather than the championship matches, I know I was. I wanted this to be a Hell in a Cell match to give it a bit more challenge. Also, to give Wade Barrett a taste of the cell.

Highlights:

Nexus runs to ringside during the match
Barrett jumps off the top to deliver an elbow to the throat of Cena
As Nexus surrounds the ring, Raw and Smackdown superstars run down and give Nexus a beatdown
Leg drop to Barrett using the top rope
Cena kicks out after being put to a Wasteland (Barrett’s finishing move)
As Barrett strategizes, Cena hits him with an Attitude Adjustment in which he kicked out from
Inteferrence from the audience, smashing Cena in the head with something
Barrett seizes the moment to gain the win. Cena must join Nexus.

It is going to be an interesting Monday Night Raw, Cena won’t be dressed in Purple and Yellow anymore but Black and Gold. This could be a possible heel turn for Cena. We’ll see how this goes come Monday night.

Match #5 Michelle McCool (with Layla) vs. Natalya (Singles match for the Unified Divas Championship)

I wasn’t really focused on this match because I was still bummed about the last match. I WAS FOR TEAM CENA. (Despite that Wade Barrett is growing on me)

Highlights:

Layla served as distraction for Natalya so that Michelle can deliver a clothesline.
Michelle accidentally kicked Layla when Layla was distracting Natalya
Too much interference by Layla
Michelle McCool wins by disqualification

I’m just going to say this. The next time Natalya gets a title shot, She BETTER win.

Match #6 Kane vs. The Undertaker (Hell in a Cell for the World Heavyweight Championship)

This was considered the match of the night (To me it was Barrett vs. Cena) The Brother’s of Destruction meet again inside the Cell. This match will prove who is the better brother.

Highlights:

Kane takes advantage of Undertaker’s distraction and beats him up.
Undertaker was pushed into the steel steps.
Kane uses a steel chair on Taker’s legs, focusing on his weak spot.
Sometime in the middle of the match, Taker limps a little.
Taker used a submission move.
Taker goes for a tombstone but Kane counters with the same move. Taker kicks out.
Kane slaps referee.
Paul Bearer slips inside when they let a new referee enter, Kane sees and confronts him.
Taker goes for the tombstone but Paul Bearer blinds him.
Paul Bearer gives Kane the urn, he uses it as a weapon.
Kane gives Taker a chokeslam for the win.

My how the tables have turned Paul Bearer comes back to give the Undertaker power but to have it crashing down on the deadman. Now we know who’s the Devil’s favorite demon but the question is will the Undertaker rise to the occasion despite Paul Bearer’s betrayal and departure or will be just accept defeat.

One of the best Pay-Per-Views, makes me very curious of what will happen in Raw and Smackdown. Very controversial results and I can’t wait to see what happens until the next pay-per-view 3 weeks from now. A lot can happen in three weeks, I’m not getting my hopes up to anything just yet.

Hey Followers, I’m sorry I haven’t posting any written works. The Jonas Drabble project has been slowing down because I have a writer’s block on it but I’ll try to get some posted soon.

However, this is a portfolio blog of all my writings which mean every genre, show, movie or whatever I can think off. Since I have updated wrestling shows again I’ll be posting reviews here, mainly pay per views.

Looking at our pictures and smiling at our memories makes my heart skip a beat. I chose to ignore the fact that you’re more than just a friend, instead of embracing my feelings, I pushed you away.

There are so many things that I could’ve done, to show my love for you. Do I still have a chance?

I glance at the doorway. Thinking that I don’t want to waste any more memories, I bolt out the door, hoping to catch you and express everything that I feel.

This is the soundtrack to the most awaited second season of JONAS, with the name change to JONAS L.A. I think he soundtrack captured that LA sound which goes well with the summer theme of the season.

Feelin’ Alive- When I first heard this song, I just wanted to scream out from the window “EHHHHHH. THIS IS THE NIGHT. THIS IS THE NIGHT.” I think the beats are awesome, more on the drum side which fits the song well. I imagined the music video of this with the boys in front of the Hollywood sign, I hope they reconsider that concept.

L.A. Baby- The first single of the album, well of course it promotes the series’ move to L.A. I was quite amused of Nick’s change of enunciation of the word California. It is the belt-out song of the album, the kind that when you step out of the plane arriving at California or just walking around the street with your iPod in hand. (P.S. WE CAN HEAR KEVIN ON THIS SONG.)

Your Biggest Fan- To those fans that thought they would never hear Nick Jonas rap again, here is the song for you. This has a RnB vibe to it, soulful beats, surprisingly fits Nick’s voice well. His rap is reminiscent of his Nick J is off the chain days A+ for you Nick, you still have it. Oh, and when he says “Shawty” you can’t help but feel all giddy inside.

Critical- My favorite song in the album. Full of emotion. I consider this like a pop-rock ballad. There are two versions of this, the regular one with guitars in the background and the piano. I must say the piano version is way better, the guitars in the regular one overpowers Nick’s voice but with the piano version you can feel the raw emotion of the song which makes it more powerful.

Hey You- When people commented that this was like a boy band song I had to take a second listen to get it. They’re right, this song sounds BSB like with a little NSYNC vibe. I could see Joe dancing when I’m listening to it, now that’s an image that’s gonna be stuck in my head for weeks.

Things Will Never be the Same- John Taylor co-wrote this song, this sounds like a dance track that shows off the boys’ versatility with music and how their lyrics can relate to people and emotions.

Fall- Another pop-rock ballad. Very touchy and has a great meaning, kind of cheesy but you once you listen to it a few more times you will think that it is the sweetest song you have ever heard.

Summer Rain- Has a hawaiian vibe for me because of the ukulele sounds in the background, perfect song for the rainy day just curled up under the blankets, gives you that relaxing feeling.

Drive- Definitely a road trip song, blast it in your car, pull the top down and just sing at the top of your lungs. Probably the song with the most different sound, it’s catchy but not the type that will get stuck in your head for week but the song you’ll randomly sing when you’re alone.

Invisible- Honestly, this song gives me a creepy, stalker-ish vibe. Fangirls, put down your pitchforks, maybe it’s because of the lyrics and instrumentals, the song is good, sometimes it just rubs me the wrong way.

Make it Right- Romeo and Juliet song or something with a balcony, the guy is singing and the girl is watching from her balcony/window. Talks about second chances, and what better way to get the girl than this song. (P.S. Joe and Stella, cut the BS and get together already. Kthnx)

Chillin’ in The Summertime- Probably my least favorite song, nice beats though. I don’t feel the rhyming in the lyrics but there’s one part that left me swooning. All in all, the last song I would listen in the album. That’s just me.

Set This Party Off- The title definitely speaks for itself, this is a total party song. Complete with sick drum beats, guitar, and booming vocals.

Overall judgement, I give this album a 5/5. It shows versatility and it brings me back to the old Jonas days. You will never get tired when you listen to this album, it will always keep you on your toes.

Nothing

If you asked me to change anything in my relationship…I would answer with “Nothing.”

We’re different, Sun and Moon, Yin and Yang. Yet, I feel close to her, I feel safe, I feel complete. She’s my everything, like a missing puzzle piece.

He’s strong, I’m weak. He’s chill, I’m serious. He drives me insane but I don’t mind. We’re two different people, fate brought us together. He’s mine, more than anything I could ever ask for.

Nobody is perfect. Break-ups and Make-ups will ensure, We clash and we mix. Two opposite people but in the end… we are one.

Hey there it’s Maui
